2-light Clamshell lighting (modified) lighting setup for fashion / high-fashion with a Clean, soft, neutral mood using Octabox (large), Black cutter, Octabox.
A single light setup with a large octabox. The model is positioned between the octabox and a fill board. The octabox is placed to the camera's right, slightly in front of the model, creating soft shadows that fall to the left and behind the subject. The black cutter into the shadows, enhancing them and increasing contrast. Another octabox facing the backdrop to give a clean white backdrop. The overall effect is clean, ideal for fashion or portrait photography.
The octabox creates a large, soft light source. The negative provides gentle density to the shadow side of the model's face and body, maintaining harsh contrasts and creating a flattering light.
